You can find me at a Dailey Method class before work in the marina, during lunch time in downtown SF, or after work at either location any day of the week - I am obsessed!
As a former water polo player nicknamed "QUADzilla", I was searching for an exercise class to keep me in shape and also get my body back to a more feminine silhouette. The day came when my enlarged shoulders and freakishly big deltoids did not fit into a button-down shirt nor did my quads and/or calves allow me to zip my new fabulous leather boots up. It was def time to try Dailey.
The Dailey Method has the perfect amount of structure combined with creative instructors and fun, fast paced music. I was a bit of a skeptic going into my first class over two years ago, thinking to myself "how hard can a class with pink weights and no shoes be?!"
I was immediately hooked for 3 reasons. #1 Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake blasting in the background #2 My first instructor, Laura, telling the class to move our hips in circles and to make sure they are "BIG SEXY CIRCLES!" #3 My inability to open a Clearly Canadian (yes I still drink those) the next day.
I have learned exercise moves and positions called water ski, pretzel and happy baby. Do not be fooled by their seemingly cute names. All have taken my muscles to extreme failure causing my arms and legs to shake uncontrollably.
I immediately saw changes in my muscle arrangement, posture, and the way my clothes fit. I will be obsessed with The Dailey Method as long as they keep playing top 40 music and keep me fitting into my favorite fashion trends.
Being able to zip boots over my calves and jeans.... SplishDeLish!!
